This Refunds & Cancellations Policy (“Policy”) explains how Strathex Systems LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles refunds for purchases made on The Thai Road (the “Site”).

We sell one-time, time-limited digital Access Passes. There are no subscriptions and no auto-renewals.
1) Key definitions
- Access Pass — a one-time, time-limited digital right to view gated content on the Site (no transfer, no resale, no downloads unless expressly provided).
- Order ID — the unique identifier on your receipt and confirmation email.
- First-Purchase Guarantee — goodwill refund window for a customer’s first-ever Access Pass under §2(A).
2) When refunds are available
A) First-Purchase Guarantee (goodwill cooling-off)
Your first-ever Access Pass qualifies for a full refund within 48 hours of purchase if you’re dissatisfied, provided that:
- you email support@thethairoad.com within 48 hours of the receipt timestamp;
- you have not breached the Terms of Service (e.g., scraping, sharing credentials); and
- you have not previously received a first-purchase refund tied to the same person/payment method/reasonably associated device profile.
Limit: one first-purchase refund per customer.
B) Duplicate or accidental multiple charges
If you were charged more than once for the same order, we’ll refund the duplicate(s). Please notify us within 30 days of the charge date.
C) Unauthorized transactions (card-not-present fraud)
If you did not authorize a charge, email us promptly. We may ask for a brief attestation and limited verification. For the fastest resolution, report within 60 days of the charge date.
D) Service-wide outages
If a continuous Site-wide outage of 24+ hours materially prevents access during your pass window (and the issue is not your device/ISP/VPN/geo-circumvention), contact us within 7 days after the outage ends. At our discretion, we may provide a pro-rata credit, access extension, or refund based on impact and logs.
E) Where required by law
If applicable law grants you a refund or cancellation right beyond this Policy, we will comply (see §6 for EU/UK digital content rules).
3) When refunds are not available
Unless required by law or covered by §2, refunds are not granted for:
- Change of mind or time elapsed beyond the 48-hour first-purchase window;
- Pass expiration or non-use during a valid pass;
- Device/connection/regional access issues caused by your hardware, browser, ISP, sanctions/geo restrictions, firewall, or VPN/geobypass;
- Policy violations (e.g., scraping, credential sharing, illegal use);
- Refund/chargeback abuse (e.g., repeated requests across accounts or payment instruments);
- Taxes, bank FX spreads, or currency fees charged by your bank;
- Third-party storefronts (if we ever sell via a reseller/marketplace, seek the refund at point of sale).
4) How to request a refund

Include:
- Your Order ID and purchase email;
- Approximate charge date/time;
- Short reason (“first-purchase guarantee,” “duplicate,” “unauthorized,” “24-hour outage”);
- Optional: screenshot of the card statement line item.
Response time: we aim to reply within 2 business days.
Refund method: approved refunds go to the original payment method only.
Settlement timing: typically 5–10 business days to appear on your statement (processor/bank timing varies). We may request limited verification to protect you and us from fraud.
5) Chargebacks & access status
Please contact us before filing a chargeback—most issues resolve faster and without account disruption. If a chargeback is filed, we may:
- temporarily suspend access to the content while we investigate;
- contest friendly-fraud disputes with order logs and server evidence;
- decline future purchases linked to abuse patterns.
This does not limit any statutory chargeback rights with your bank.
6) EU/UK digital content withdrawal (instant access)
EU/UK consumers often have a 14-day withdrawal right for digital content. To deliver instant access, checkout includes a clear consent box stating you request immediate performance and acknowledge you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery begins. Regardless, our §2(A) First-Purchase Guarantee applies as goodwill. Your non-waivable statutory rights remain where applicable.
7) Currency, taxes, and fees
Prices are in USD. Refunds are issued in USD to the original payment method; any exchange differences or bank fees are outside our control and are not reimbursed. If we collected sales/VAT/GST and your refund is approved, we refund taxes proportionally.
8) Abuse prevention & compliance
To protect customers and the platform, we may:
- require basic identity confirmation for certain refund categories;
- limit §2(A) to one first-purchase refund per person/payment method/device profile;
- decline requests that indicate abuse or policy violations;
- retain refund/chargeback outcomes and technical logs for 7 years (chargeback defense, tax, compliance).
9) Descriptor disclosure & cancellations
Your statement will display a descriptor similar to “STRATHEX*THAI ROAD” (exact text varies by processor/bank) and is shown in the email receipt. Once a payment is captured, it cannot be “canceled”; instead, we process an official refund per §2 if eligible.
10) Policy updates
We may update this Policy to reflect law or operational changes. Material updates show a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after updates means you accept the changes.
